Who is Wendy?

I was raised in sunny Newport Beach in Southern California, and it was in 1990 I moved to Rogers, AR and attended the University of Arkansas. I received my Masters in Counseling in 1997. I met my husband in high school and we’ve been married for 26 years. We have 4 children, Mason (22), McKane (21), Mo (19), and our sweet daughter Maiya (16).

We have been blessed by lots of family having been in our industry from engineers, architects, interior designers, and builders. So we’ve been around this industry for a while. My husband and I started Martin Building Group in 1995 and have been blessed to have designed/built many homes over the years all with different types of architecture. We currently are bringing a new architecture design to Northwest Arkansas that is Coastal Transitional and we are very excited about this because it’s our heritage of where we grew up.

My passion is connecting people and designing homes. As founder of Wendy Martin Living, the interior design of homes and serving people find commonplace in my designs for MBG’s Coastal Living Collection and serving as a Real Estate Sales Agent with Prime Real Estate & Development.

Fueling this work passion is a purpose around truth and life relationships found in my faith. I am also involved in engaging and training women to grow and reproduce their personal relationships with Jesus, husbands, families, and friends.

An intentional women’s ministry inside Sharpening Ministries

Woman U is a ministry in Discipleship Training.

We want to help women in four areas:

  • Secure who they are in their identity in Christ

  • Strengthen their walk with Jesus - rooting them deeply in the Word of God

  • Skill them to do what God has called them to do - be an ambassador and discipler

  • Send them to go into their sphere of influence - their town, city, and the world to reproduce themselves for Jesus

Our mission is to train and equip believers to reproduce themselves into others.

Personally, I was ruined for the ordinary when it came to my faith and my mission, the co-mission of Christ, when I discovered what my role as an ambassador of Christ really meant.

To be on mission everywhere I am going and wherever I go I am looking through the lens of disciplemaking. Christ calls us to be his ambassadors who represent Christ and equip others to be his representatives that will reproduce themselves.

We are here to search and rescue, seek and save the lost.

I want women to be pre-occuppied with the gospel so it will be at the forefront of their minds as they are moving through this earth.

Who’s on your heart for heaven? How to share their faith in a way that is real and authentic with the truth of God and the grace of his redeeming love and not based on rules and legalism.

If we really understand what Christ did for us on the Cross then we would be compelled to respond in a loving way to carry his message so others could discover Him as well.
